Popular Retailer To Open First MA Store This Summer
A premium apparel brand's casual and golf-inspired clothing is coming to the South Shore.
HINGHAM, MA — A popular apparel brand is set to open its first Massachusetts store this summer.
Johnnie-O will open at Derby Street Shops in Hingham in summer 2026, bringing the premium apparel brand’s casual and golf-inspired clothing to the South Shore. The new store will carry a curated selection of men’s, women’s and boys’ apparel, along with footwear and accessories from Johnnie-O’s Top Shelf, Club and Coffee Run collections.
Founded in 2005 by John O’Donnell, the brand began with four-button polos and has expanded into a broader lifestyle line that includes its patented Tweener Button on button-down shirts and J-Flex footwear.

“We’re excited to welcome Johnnie-O to Massachusetts this summer and introduce a new first-to-market brand to our guests,” Derby Street Shops General Manager Caroline Hessberg said. “Their coastal, golf-inspired style is a natural fit for the Hingham community and aligns seamlessly with the active, outdoor lifestyle our guests enjoy.”

Johnnie-O said it plans to connect with the community through in-store events and local partnerships tied to the South Shore’s coastal and active lifestyle after the store opens.
The retailer will join a growing list of new additions at Derby Street Shops, including Aritzia, which is expected to arrive in fall 2026.
The upscale open-air shopping center is known for its mix of national retailers, dining spots, and lifestyle brands. Johnnie-O will join more than 60 other stores, restaurants, and boutiques, including Whole Foods, Apple, Lululemon, J.Crew, Shake Shack, Tatte Bakery and Cafe, among many others.
