Hoverboard Blamed in $200,000 Hingham House Fire
Police say drivers should expect delays near Route 228.

HINGHAM, MA — Fire officials a learning towards a hoverboard as the cause of a house fire which resulted in an estimated $200,000 in damage.
At 4 p.m. Hingham fire and police responded to a fire on East Street between Summer Street and Route 3A. The street between the two intersections was closed as firefighters battled the blaze.

Firefighters believe the charging hoverboard sparked the fire in a first floor extension adjacent to the kitchen. The damage is believed to be around $200,000, according to the Patriot Ledger.
