Da Silva to Run for Re-Election on April 27th

Da Silva to Run for Re-Election to the Hingham School Committee

“It’s All About the Children!”

I am honored to have the opportunity to run for public office in Hingham, a town that has offered so much to my family and me. Having volunteered in various leadership positions on boards of non-profit organizations, I would like to continue serving on the School Committee, as it allows me to give back to the Hingham community.

I am running for re-election to continue to serve the students and the community, and to maintain the excellence in our education system. I am a public servant employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working as an auditor with the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development assigned to the South Shore. I am one of eight children born to public servant parents. My father was a police officer and my mother was a teacher and a principal of an elementary school.

My two sons are both graduates of the Hingham Public Schools. I am proud of the Hingham Public Schools. I commend all the public servants that work wholeheartedly throughout the schools to make the education experience memorable. It would be a great honor to continue to serve on the School Committee.

I have served on numerous boards advocating for students and parents. Volunteerism runs in my blood. As an experienced political advocate in the community, former union representative, negotiator of several collective bargaining agreements, and simply being a team player, I pledge to continue being an asset to our town for many years to come. I therefore ask for one of your three votes on April 27, 2019.
