South Shore Conservatory Holds Auditions for 2017 Summer Vocal and Instrumental Programs

For all South Shore students

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) announces auditions for their summer 2017 vocal and instrumental programs for students, ages seven through nineteen, at their One Conservatory Drive, Hingham campus.

Wind and percussion students in grades five through twelve are invited to audition for SSC’s Summer Music Festival two-week wind ensemble camp, which includes Summer Wind Ensemble and Festival Wind Ensemble for high school and college students, and its new one-week All-Star Band program for students in elementary and middle school. Summer Music Festival students perform in high quality wind band, chamber and jazz ensembles with musicians from all across Southeastern Massachusetts. Placement auditions will be held on April 29. Summer Vocal Institute, for singers age seven through eighteen to discover their vocal potential and gain the tools needed to become more confident performers, holds placement auditions for the 2017 program on Saturday, May 20, from 10 am to 4 pm. South Shore Conservatory, (SSC) has been providing access to and enriching the lives of South Shore residents through music and the arts for over 45 years. Recognized as a national model for arts education by the National Guild for Community Arts Education, SSC is the largest, not-for-profit, community school for the arts in Massachusetts, serving over 3500 students of all ages and abilities at its two beautiful campuses and in partnership with schools, and social service and community agencies throughout the South Shore.
