Teen Charged with Crashing into Car While Using Phone
Police say the driver was distracted at the time of the crash.

HINGHAM, MA - A driver was injured Saturday after another car went through a stop sign with a distracted driver, police said.
At 9:23 p.m. Saturday night, police received a call for a crash near an intersection on High Street. According to the Hingham Police Log, a black Jeep ran a stop sign and hit a Honda. The caller reported an injured woman in the Honda. She was transported to South Shore Hospital.

The driver and the two passengers in the Jeep all face charges. The driver, a 17-year-old, was charged with underage use of a cell phone while driving and a stop sign violation according to the Patriot Ledger. The driver and the two passengers will be summoned to juvenile court for the alleged possession and transportation of an unopened 12-pack of beer allegedly found in the Jeep.
Due to the age of the three, their names are not being released.
