Tesla Store Coming to Hingham
The store will be the third in Massachusetts for the electric car maker.

Tesla’s third retail store in Massachusetts will be on the South Shore.
The electric car maker announced plans Friday to open a retail store in at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, according to the Boston Business Journal. Currently, Tesla has two retail locations in Natick and Boston, a showroom in Dedham, and a service center in Watertown.
While there are no plans for a Chestnut Hill store, that location is being targeted, according to Tesla spokeswoman Alexis Georgeson.

The new locations are part of the company’s expansion plans. At the end of 2014, there were 159 sales and service centers and around the world and 380 charging stations in North America, Asia, and Europe.
