HINGHAM, MA - The town and the company that owns their water system are still far apart when it comes to the purchase price
The Board of Selectmen is appealing a court decision that set the price of a sale with the Aquarion Water Company at $88.6 million. The initial decision came on April 22, according to the Patriot Ledger.
The town believes the water treatment plant and system are worth $50 million but Aquarion says the figure is between $96.8 million and $144.3 million.
