Dharma Dreams Vocational Center

Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is a nonprofit vocational and life skills program based in Hanover, Massachusetts, serving young adults ages 18–26 with moderate cognitive disabilities. Our mission is to help students build practical job skills in the trades, confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and workplace readiness through hands-on vocational training and supportive learning experiences. The program was created in response to the growing need for meaningful transition opportunities for young adults as they move beyond high school and into adulthood. Many families struggle to find programs that combine practical workforce preparation, life skills development, communication skills, confidence-building, and supportive real-world learning experiences. Dharma Dreams offers hands-on exposure to vocational areas such as landscaping and grounds maintenance, painting and surface preparation, workplace professionalism, entrepreneurship basics, and life skills training. Students also learn mind-body techniques that support focus, confidence, emotional regulation, stress management, and workplace success. Our introductory summer program, launching at the end of July, is designed to help students and families become familiar with the program and explore vocational interests before participating in longer-term programming. Long-term programming focuses on helping students develop greater independence, workplace readiness, responsibility, confidence, and practical trade skills through structured, hands-on learning experiences. Dharma Dreams Vocational Center aims to create supportive pathways toward greater independence, meaningful employment opportunities, and a stronger sense of purpose while helping young adults feel valued, capable, and connected to their future potential.

Join us for the 2nd annual Cape Cod Pottery Trail! This self-guided trail offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people and places where Cape Cod pottery is made. With 16 locations on the 2026 trail map and multiple artists at some locations, visitors can experience an extraordinary range of ceramic work—from wheel-thrown and slipcast functional ware to hand-built sculpture, jewelry, raku and wood-fired pieces. Many of these spaces are not open to the public outside the Trail, making the weekend a unique opportunity to meet the artists, see their creative processes, and purchase work directly from the makers. The Trail is free and open to everyone. There is no starting point or route. Visitors already on-Cape can jump onto the trail at any location, while those arriving from off-Cape often begin at the Sagamore location. Download a map from the Pottery Trail website. For an added element of fun, this map doubles as a Pottery Passport which provides space to collect a stamp at each stop. Complete the passport and turn it in at the final stop for a chance to win a handmade piece created by one of the Trail artists. Celebrity Photographer Deborah Feingold Comes to the Norwell Public Library for Exhibition &amp; Fundraiser

 Internationally acclaimed portrait photographer Deborah Feingold, whose extraordinary career spans more than five decades, is coming to Norwell.

Feingold will be the featured guest at "Get Loud at the Library...AGAIN!", Norwell Public Library Foundation's annual fundraiser on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Feingold has photographed some of the world's most influential musicians, actors, authors, political leaders, athletes, and cultural icons, including Madonna, Prince, Mick Jagger, James Brown, B.B. King, Bono, Chet Baker, Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Gloria Steinem, and Toni Morrison. Her photographs have appeared on the covers and pages of more than 175 publications, including Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, GQ, The Village Voice, and The New York Times. Her work is celebrated for its intimacy, emotional depth, and ability to reveal the humanity behind iconic figures.

Following the event, the Norwell Public Library will present a special exhibition of Feingold's work, curated by William Houser, independent curator and artist consultant.
