WATCH: Hingham High Crew Team Sets Guinness World Record

The crew team recently set the world record for a waterski tow by rowing boat.

HINGHAM, MA — How fast and strong is the Hingham High School crew team? Strong enough that they can break the world record for pulling someone on waterskiis.

In October, the team set a new Guinness World Record for a waterski tow by rowing boat, clocking in at 4:08.22 seconds, according to the record keepers. The record was set on Oct. 15 at Hingham Bay.

The record-breaking team consisted of Cotter McCarthy (water skier), Jonas Fryer (coxswain), Wil Mullin (stroke), Jack Metzger, Jared Freeman, Ethan Quinn, Geoff Hewett, Brendan Chase and Andrew Sandberg and Tyler O'Connell (bow), according to Guinness World Records.
