WCVB Visits With Hingham Girls Soccer for High5, Harborwomen Honor by Boston Globe

Julia Patterson was named the D2 player of the year, Eve Hewins was all-scholastic, and Ryan Puntiri was named the D2 Coach of the year.

The accolades keep rolling in for the Hingham girls soccer team. After winning the Division 2 title, Julia Patterson has been named the Boston Globe D2 player of the year, Eve Hewins has been named an all-scholastic, and coach Ryan Puntiri was named the D2 coach of the year.

A three-time Patriot League Keenan Division all-star, Patterson finished her senior season with 22 goals and 12 assists.

Hewins, a sophomore starter and two-time Patriot League Keenan Division all-star, scored 30 goals and 12 assists during the season, netting 12 in tournament play.

Winning the state title in his 12th year, Puntiri improved his record t0 118-87 with a 19-0-4 2014 campaign. He was also named the EMass GSCA Division 2 Coach of the Year

In addition to the accolades, the team recently had a visit from WCVB’s Mike Lynch to film the latest edition of High5.
