Woman Charged With Drinking Wine During, After Hingham Valentine's Day OUI Crash
Police say a Cohasset woman was drinking wine when she allegedly caused a drunken-driving crash in Hingham on Valentine's Day
HINGHAM, MA — A Valentine's Day drink in Hingham resulted in a car crash and charges for a Cohasset woman, police said.
Erin Lynch, 37, was arrested Tuesday and charged with drunken driving, marked lanes violation, drinking from an open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seat belt, according to the Hingham Police Department.
At 6:16 p.m., a caller on Rockland Street reported a two-car crash after one vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. Police say the driver of the vehicle that crossed the road, identified as Lynch, was drinking from a bottle of wine at the time of the crash and allegedly continued to drink after the crash and when officers asked for her license.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, police said. Lynch was transported to South Shore Hospital before the was transported to the Hingham Police Department.
