Woman Drowns At Nantasket Beach

Police said bystanders tried to revive Amy White, of Hull.

HULL, MA — A 69-year-old woman has died after being pulled from the waters off Nantasket Beach Sunday afternoon. Amy White, of Hull, was pulled from the waters off Beach Avenue around 1:30 p.m., Plymouth Country District Attorney Tim Cruz's Office said. Responders arrived to find bystanders "performing lifesaving efforts."

White was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The drowning is being investigated, but no foul play is suspected.
