• EPA Implements Updated Cleanup Approach to Address Groundwater Contamination at Baird & McGuire Superfund Site (epa.gov) — Holbrook residents are getting a new, interim EPA cleanup plan aimed at finally tackling long‑standing groundwater contamination at the Baird & McGuire Superfund site on South Street. The agency will inject treatments underground, maintain groundwater-use restrictions, and closely monitor pollution spread, with an estimated cost of $7.1 million as it works toward safe drinking water standards.
