2. The Central Mass Thunder Fastpitch Girls Softball organization will continue holding tryouts for its 2011-2012 season on Sunday.
   
   Tryouts for ages 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U will be held at the Pisini Field Complex on Peck Street in Franklin on August 13, 14, 20 and 21. Times for each age group are listed on the Thunder's website.
   
   Players from the surrounding region who wish to compete at the highest level are encouraged to try out.
3. Meals on Wheels and BayPath Elder Services are having a fundraiser from 4 to 10 p.m. on August 20 at The Water Hazard. Organizers are still looking for players to participate in this event. The deadline to register as a player is August 15.
