5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 12

Catch a concert at Goodwill Park or check out a Holliston artist's work in Framingham.

  1. The Conservation Commission is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Room 014 of the . View the agenda here.
  2. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Gumbo Diablo will be playing at as part of the Holliston Arts Council's Free Summer Concert Series.

    Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to support the 's S.O.S (Stock Our Shelves) Campaign. Also, the Girl Scouts will be selling water and other goodies during the performances. Bring your family, friends, picnic blanket and dinner, but please leave Fido at home - no dogs are allowed at town parks.

    The summer concert series is sponsored by the Holliston Arts Council, Holliston Newcomers Club and Mass Cultural Council.

    The exhibit opened on June 17 and will run through July 31. The event is free and open to the public.
  4. A lifeguard will be present at the beach on weekdays until August 12. Lifeguards will be on duty for limited hours on weekends. Please call the Parks & Recreation office at 508-429-2149 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to find out when lifeguards are scheduled.
