Established in 2006 by Barry Kriegsman, a former patient of Children's Hospital Boston, the event will raise money to help pay the medical costs of patients whose families cannot afford care, purchase essential medical equipment, support pediatric research and provide training for the next generation of pediatricians.
Kriegsman, a Holliston High alum, was a member of the HHS cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams. He created this event to combine his love of running with his desire to help Children's Hospital Boston and its patients. For the third straight year, Kriegsman will co-direct the race with his younger brother David, a senior at HHS and member of the National Honor Society. - There are two open houses in Holliston and several others in surrounding towns on Sunday. .
