A Day in the Life: HCAT Personality Tom Emmons
The voice of Holliston High sports serves as Vice President for specialty retail solutions provider Color Inc.

(This week, we get a glimpse into a day in the life of personality Tom Emmons, who announces sports games and co-hosts SporTView with Jay Wyman. Emmons is the Vice President of Col0r Inc., a specialty retail solutions provider in Holliston.)
"I get up at 5:30 a.m., and Mrs. (Carol) Emmons and I go down to for a little coffee and a walk before we get our kids out to school.
I have a very short commute over to the New Englander Industrial Park where the headquarters for our company, Color Incorporated, is located. We are very proud of one of our new stores, Roster, over at the Natick Collection. Roster sells the finest sports apparel for the Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and (the now-defunct Hartford) Whalers. We even have had Whaler celebrities like (former boys hockey coach) Eddie Mantenuto over at our stores.

A lot of my day is spent checking on sales reports, and calling the stores. I go over to Natick a lot to make sure that things are running well. We've had a number of events at the store, such as Terry O'Reilly, (former) Whalers coach Jack Kelley and Tim Sheehy, who played on the (United States) Olympic Team (in 1972). We've had Brandon Deaderick of the Patriots, their defensive rookie tackle from Alabama, at our Roster store, and even Shaq (Celtics center Shaquille O'Neal) stopped into our Dedham store, which we opened this summer. He just stopped by last week. Jordan Knight, of New Kids on the Block, also stopped in, making it like celebrity week.
I've been spending a lot of time with the Natick store interacting with the media and getting some press releases out to get some publicity for our store. We're having a great holiday season."
