A Family Connection Helped Put One Tax Office On Top

Located right on the starting line of the Boston Marathon, has a lot going for it.

The easy to access location, the family-friendly atmosphere and the helpfulness of all the tax prepares helped ICS win the

“We’re all very capable and we’ll make sure we do everything we can to help you,” ICS founder Paula Gai said. “We do whatever we can to help the customers. We strive for the best tax situation possible for all of our clients.”

The business consist of eight people; Gai and her daughters Alisa Wade and Krista Egan are the three partners for the business, Susan McGee, Debbie Forest, Missy Galvin, John Galego and Liz Jurasek round out the office.

The business has made accommodations to suit every need, they have toys for kids to play with while the wait and coffee and snacks for everyone. Egan even said there have been several occasions when they stayed into the early morning to meet with people who couldn’t make it during regular business hours.

“People always say that they’ve done their own taxes for a while but then they make investments or other big changes and that’s when the first come in to talk to us,” Egan said. “I work with people that have moved all over the country who still have us do their taxes.”

The business has been around since 1996, in 2004 they moved to the 1 Ash St. office they currently inhabit.

Each one of the accountants has a different specialty so whatever accounting need you have can be met at ICS. The filing deadline for this year is April 17, and although many of the accountants are booked some are still taking clients for the next few days.
