The ceremony featured reflections on service, democracy, and peace, followed by American Legion 9/11 Awards recognizing Holliston police, fire, and EMS members for lifesaving work with a toddler at Stoddard Park, a missing teen, and an overdose emergency.
   

• Behind the art: Holliston Mill Studio artists opens doors Nov. 7-8 (hollistontownnews.com) — Holliston residents can explore three floors of Holliston Mill Studios during the Open Studios weekend on November 7–8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 24 Water Street. You'll be able to meet local artists, see how they work, enjoy live music and food, and even let kids try hands-on art activities while supporting a thriving creative community.
