Community Corner

Are you a high school student looking to make an impact in your community?

Applications are now available for the Foundation for MetroWest Summer Institute for Youth Leadership!

The Summer Institute is a 2-day program designed for high school students (rising freshmen through seniors). During the program, participants will learn about the importance of becoming actively involved in their own community, discover a keen awareness of their own potential, and develop the skills necessary to become successful leaders.

Participants will learn how to evaluate local nonprofit organizations and work together to award a grant to the nonprofit of their choice. In addition to grantmaking and philanthropy education, guest speakers will attend each session to teach a variety of life skills, from creating a resume to balancing a checkbook, and learning to work effectively as a team.
