The ribbon cutting was followed by a series of Vinyasa Flow Classes, where guests could attend 30-minute segments or the entire class. Classes are taught in a large, heated room which helps to cleanse the body and warm the muscles for enhanced flexibility and performance.
During the afternoon, the studio held raffles and a trunk show with clothing provided by Wild Buddha Designs and Lucy Women's Activewear. The raffle table was filled with colorful baskets of luxurious lotions, yoga apparel and gift certificates.
Interactive demos and a teen power hour were featured in the afternoon, along with a discount of 40 percent for patrons who signed up for classes that day.
Representatives from the Hopkinton Running Club, the Hopkinton Moms Club and the Hopkinton Girl Scouts took part in Community Champions geared toward providing an environment where clubs, groups or teams can experience the benefits of yoga.
Those who tried the class can promote awareness and benefits of yoga amongst their groups.
The event was a success as guests were able to enjoy a full day of inspiring yoga classes and celebrate Lesley's dream of sharing the calm that yoga can bring into our lives.
According to Lesley, the mission at Hopkinton's BCalm Power Yoga is yoga for every body - yoga for life.
