Blessed Beginnings Preschool Accredited by NAEYC

in Holliston has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s leading organization for early childhood professionals.

Blessed Beginnings is a non-profit program that has been in operation since 2003. Developmentally-appropriate curriculum is used at the preschool to help children learn and grow at their own pace. To earn NAEYC accreditation, Blessed Beginnings conducted a self-assessment to determine how well it met the national standards, then completed a self-study to organize all evidence of compliance in program and classroom portfolios.

Parent/teacher communication, curriculum, staff qualifications, assessment, physical space, health and safety, teacher/child interaction and community relations are all important components of the criteria. Once all standards were met, the program was observed by an independent, professional assessor and then reviewed by a national panel. Programs are accredited by NAEYC for a five-year period.
