Get ready for a day full of energy, learning, and family fun! Join us for Healthy Kids Day® at the MetroWest YMCA on Saturday, April 25, at the Hopkinton Outdoor Center—free and open to the public.
Kick off the day with two exciting fun runs: the&nbsp;Family Trail Run and the&nbsp;Kids’ Dash, perfect for younger participants to jump into the action.&nbsp;
From 10:00 AM–1:00 PM, families can enjoy a wide variety of&nbsp;hands-on activities designed to do together, including live music, gardening, art and STEM challenges, sports, camp tours, and more. Adventurous kids can try rock climbing on our 40’ indoor wall or test their aim at archery.
Families will also connect with local organizations offering hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and helpful wellness resources.
Best suited for ages&nbsp;2–14, this event offers something for every stage, while giving parents and caregivers plenty of ways to join in the fun.

Highlights: Works by iconic American composers including Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Arlo Guthrie, Carly Simon, Paul Simon, Philip Phillips – to name a few!Greater Milford Community Chorus is set to host a landmark musical event, "America 250: Songs Celebrating the American Spirit," to celebrate the upcoming semiquincentennial of the United States. The performance will feature a sweeping repertoire of American choral works, ranging from founding-era hymns to contemporary arrangements that reflect the diverse cultural fabric of the nation. 
The GMCC is 50-voice non-profit choral group based in Milford, Massachusetts, under the direction of Mark Schiappucci and is accompanied by the instrumental trio of Wayne Ward (piano), Robert Orr (bass), and Renato Malavasi (percussion). The program is approximately 90-minutes long, with a 20 minute intermission, and features approximately 20 songs, including solos performed by members, and pianist Wayne Ward.Tickets are available for $12 at the door, with free admission offered to children under 10, veterans, and active-duty military members.A Milford Community School Use Program, the Greater Milford Community Chorus is sponsored in part by the Hopedale, Medway and Milford Cultural Councils.

You become a Dementia Friend by attending a free 90-minute information session to learn the five key messages about living with dementia and the simple things you can do to make your community a safer, supportive, and more inclusive place for people living with dementia and their care partners.
What Happens at the Information Session?
It’s an engaging and interactive discussion led by an experienced volunteer Dementia Friends Champion. You’ll learn what dementia is, the different types, what it’s like to live with it, tips for communicating with people with dementia, and about the extensive available resources and support for families and care partners.

The Metrowest Symphony Orchestra will present child prodigy Kingsley Chen in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 2 in B-flat, conducted by Max Hobart, on May 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The concert will also include the popular “New World “ Symphony by Antonin Dvořák.
The concert takes place at the Dwight Performing Arts Center at Framingham State University. Free parking. Handicap accessible. Tickets are $20 for adults; $10 for seniors, veterans, and students; free for FSU personnel and children under 12.
