Join the global movement to change the way people think, act, and talk about dementia!

How do I becomeaDementiaFriend?

You become a Dementia Friend by attending a free 90-minute information session to learn the five key messages about living with dementia and the simple things you can do to make your community a safer, supportive, and more inclusive place for people living with dementia and their care partners.

What Happens at the Information Session?

It’s an engaging and interactive discussion led by an experienced volunteer Dementia Friends Champion. You’ll learn what dementia is, the different types, what it’s like to live with it, tips for communicating with people with dementia, and about the extensive available resources and support for families and care partners.

Participants say:

“This has opened my eyes.” “I wish I knew this five years ago when my family was going through it.” “I will be much more aware at work and out in my community.”

Saturday May 16 - 11 am to 12:30 pm: Hopkinton Center for the Arts: 98 Hayden Rowe Street

Presented by the Hopkinton Council on Aging Call to register: (508) 497-9730
