MA parents, grandparents, and former educators

have formed Common Core Forum (CCF) – a new organization

dedicated to enlightening the public about the proposed Common

Core States Standards program, usually referred to as Common

Core(CC). The Common Core Forum is a statewide non-profit,

non-partisan group which does not accept donations.

The Common Core initiative, if fully implemented, will federalize

America’s public educational system.  Although Massachusetts is

already leader in standardized student test results, Common Core will…

eliminate local school control; replace it with Federal control; force Massachusetts to spend $ millions to LOWER its standards; and dramatically increase data gathering and the monitoring of all students

Common Core Forum’s informational series begins on June 9th

with Dr. Duke Pesta, Professor of English, University of Wisconsin,

Oshkosh.  Dr. Pesta has spoken

about Common Core to over 100 groups within the past year.

For more information, and opportunities to get involved in the

Common Core Forum, visit: CCF’s website www.commoncoreforum.org or find us on FB. CCF is also on Twitter

@CommonCoreForum.
