The Sherborn Lions Club is hosting a dinner and presentation featuringJoslin Diabetes Center’s Dr. Robert C. Stanton, M.D., Chief of the Kidney and Hypertension section and Principal Investigator in Vascular Cell Biology at Joslin as well as Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stanton will discuss his research into the underlying causes of diabetic kidney and vascular disease. He will also speak about his work in China where he delivered lectures on diabetic kidney disease and on his research. Dr. Stanton has presented at major hospitals and universities throughout China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tsingtao, Tianjin, Xi’an, Suzhou and Luzhou.
The event will be held at the Sherborn Inn, 33 North Main St. on January 15, 2014 at 6:30 pm. The cost of attendance is $22 and this event is open to the public.
