Eat Local: Dance The Night Away
At Worcester's Bluri Bar, you can settle down for dinner and drinks or cut a rug on the dance floor. Or both.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Holliston Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
BLURI BAR AND LOUNGE (320 MAIN ST., WORCESTER) — The Bluri Bar in downtown Worcester, a block down Main St. from the Palladium, is a prime place to grab some dinner and drinks or, if your prefer, to dance the night away.
Bluri caters to the after-work crowd in the early evening before welcoming the party people as the night wears on. Bluri is open 9:30 p.m.—2 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, 5 p.m.—2 a.m. Wednesday — Friday and 9:30 p.m.—2 a.m. Saturday.

Bluri does not charge a cover and offers some of the best DJs in the area, notably DJ Reckless for the Friday Night Frenzy and DJ Soup on SpinSuite Saturdays. Musically, the club plays everything from house, R&B, rap, soul, and drum-and-bass tracks.
Women must be 18-plus, while men must be over 21. Per Bluri's Facebook page, proper dress is required: no overly baggy clothing, no excessive jewelry, no plain white t-shirts, no work boots, no offensive clothing, no sunglasses. Jackets must fit or be checked, sneakers (must be clean), hooded sweatshirts (must fit) and hats (must be worn straight front or back) are allowed.

In addition to a full menu, Bluri offers a full bar and an auxiliary bar for those who don't feel like dancing. There is also an extensive cocktail list, featuring, among others, Peanut Butter & Jelly martinis, Rumbelievable (c) MaiTais and other mixed drinks. Bluri also serves beer and wine.
The club can get raucous late at night, and an on-duty police officer is always present.
