A New Dance Program for Kids with Special Needs!

This year Backstage Dance Center, located next to the Shaw’s Plaza in Ashland, will be offering two classes called Perpetual Motion for students with special needs.  Each class will include a warm-up, stretching, instruction in a dance technique and dance steps, creative movement, improvisation and a cool-down period.  The emphasis will be on improved physical coordination, flexibility and balance as well as increased self-esteem, self-awareness, and awareness of others.  The classes will be taught by Jennifer Wiles, Board-Certified
Dance-Movement Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  This fun, energizing program is designed to be a positive and failure-free experience for all!

The two Perpetual Motion classes will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for ages 6-9, and on Wednesdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for ages 10-15.  Students are welcome to participate in a FREE trial class the opening week on September 20th and 21st.

For questions and registration please contact Backstage Dance Center via phone (508) 881-8226 or email bdc@backstagedance.comcastbiz.net.
