Ballet Themed Workshops (ages 3-7)

Each once-per-month Sunday afternoon dance workshop engages young participants in an afternoon of fun and culture, that includes:

  • craft
  • story time
  • dancing
  • games
  • healthy refreshments

Enrollment is limited to 6-15 girls and boys.

Two workshops are held on the second Sunday of each month.
They are great introductions to the art of ballet and serve well to enrich the non beginner’s experiences.
1:00-3:00 for 3-4 year old boys and girls.
3:30-5:30 for 5-8 year old boys and girls.

Overview:

Children should wear comfortable attire (stretch / sweat pants and T-shirt or leotard and tights), bare feet or dance shoes. They will make a craft that coordinates with the ballet of the month: mask, magic wand, crown, etc. They will be read a synopsis of the ballet and dance some of the male and female roles to the original compositions. Every ballet includes an interesting turn of events that we turn into a game for all to enjoy. Each new child will leave the workshop with their craft, a FREE trial class coupon and a DAC memento.
