By the time children enter the second and third grades, they become more interested in creating detailed and realistic images in their artwork. The subject matter also becomes more important to them. In this class, we will begin by having the child bring in a favorite stuffed animal, or other simple object, to draw and paint. From there, the child will explore their environment through art.
