Red Pony to Play North Street Coffeehouse
Medfield, MA (January 18, 2011) – The popular rock/americana band, Red Pony, will be the feature act at the 5th anniversary show of the North Street Coffeehouse in Medfield, MA. The North Street Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church at 26 North Street, Medfield, Massachusetts.
Red Pony was brought together by a love of music. Based in Boston’s metrowest, Red Pony blends soulful tales of heartbreak and gritty reflection, with music inspired by the American experience from roots to rock. With influences by artists ranging from Allison Krauss to Wilco, Red Pony is: Tom Farrell (bass), Katie Frassinelli (vocals, guitar), Greg Klabon (keyboard), Tibor Nemeth (steel guitar), Tim Neves (harmonica), John Powers (vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo), and Peter Woodward (drums).
One of Red Pony’s songwriters, John Powers from Holliston, MA, has won Country Songwriter of the Year for 2009 and 2010 through the New England Country Music Organization. The award winning songs will be performed on February 5th and will available on Red Pony’s new cd which can be purchased at CDBABY.com and ITUNES in February.

Open mic begins at 7:00 p.m., and the feature, Red Pony, goes on at 9:30. Refreshments are available, and admission is $10, or $5 for open mikers.
