Many of us hold tension in our bodies and minds that prevents us from sleeping deeply, breathing fully, and being completely relaxed in our daily lives. This tension comes from within us, so only we have the ability to release it. In this workshop you will learn how tension builds up within us and how stress in the body and mind are connected. We will explore simple exercises you can do on a daily basis to reduce stress, sleep more deeply, and breathe more fully.About Somatics: Somatics is a type of neuromuscular retraining which allows you to relearn natural, efficient movement patterns, regain flexibility and range of motion, and prevent and recover from injuries. Workshops consist of slow, gentle, relaxing movements suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You will learn exercises that you can do at home in as little as 5 minutes a day to maintain flexibility, improve coordination, warm up and cool down from workouts, and prevent injuries.
