The Holliston Newcomers Club is announcing its first Touch-A-Truck event on June 11, 2011. Local companies donate trucks of all sizes for children to come explore. This is an excellent event for the whole family and allows you to climb aboard, honk the horn, and talk to the driver. The Touch-A-Truck kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Sam Placentino Elementary School. The Placentino School is located at 235 Woodland Street (off of Route 16) in Holliston, MA. The rain date is set for Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the same location. The event will be horn-free for the first hour, ideal for younger children and children with special needs. A variety of family-friendly vendors will be on-site. The cost of the event is $4.00 per person or the whole family may attend for a flat rate of $15.00. Free admission will be granted to children under the age of one. Profits from the event will fund the Newcomers annual grant awards. Sponsorship is provided by The Little Gym of Medway, C&R Hot Dogs, Holliston School for the Performing Arts, and Hopkinton Pediatric Dental Associates.
