Facebook App's Video Feature May Account for Your Crazy High Phone Bill
Here's an easy fix to make sure your video setting is shut off on the Facebook app. And it's important that you do so.

Some people are gasping when they open the cell phone bill lately. It seems the Facebook app has an auto-play feature that’s launching videos whether you tap them to play or not.
Not only is it gobbling your data unbeknownst to you, but many Facebook users are concerned for other reasons. One user in the Facebook community page posted, “Facebook, please turn off the AUTO-PLAY feature. It is causing problems for FB users and is really frustrating. While we cannot control what others post, we should be able to choose what we view. I can’t open Facebook when my children are around or at work because of auto play; videos aren’t appropriate for all settings.”
The issue, recently flagged by MoneySavingExpert.com, was reported by WCVB, and has caused many complaints from those who are exceeding their monthly data plans.
