Framingham Woman's Body Recovered from Holliston Lake
Theresa Sorensen was reported missing on Thursday, and searchers recovered her body on Friday.

HOLLISTON, MA — The body of a Framingham woman who was reported missing on Thursday was found by searchers on Friday in Lake Winthrop.
On March 24, around 6:08 p.m, Framingham Police requested that Holliston police search the area in the vicinity of 194 Lowland St. for a 59-year-old Theresa Sorensen. Sorensen's family said that she had missed an appointment and a job interview on that day and they were concerned.
Framingham Police “pinged” Sorensen's cell phone, but the search proved unsuccessful, and Holliston officers continued the search in the general area.

At 7:52 p.m. a family friend who had been searching for Sorensen found her vehicle in the parking area at the "Pleasure Point" shoreline of Lake Winthrop. Holliston police along with Holliston Fire Department Water Search and Rescue Team, Natick PD's K9 Unit, Medway Police ATV Unit and Holliston's K9 unit (Sgt. Matt Stone and K9 Cesh).
The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing was also requested but unable to respond because of the weather, and the search was continued overnight.

At 8:55 a.m., the Holliston Water Search and Rescue Team located what appeared to be a female body approximately 35 feet from the Pleasure Point shoreline in six feet of water.
After finding the body, the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Unit, and the Massachusetts Medical Examiner were contacted and requested to respond.
The body was removed from the water, and eventually identified as Sorensen.
At this time there are no indications of foul play, said police. This matter does remain under investigation by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit.
