Gas Prices Rise for the 7th Week

AAA's Jan. 17 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.099 per gallon, one cent more than last week. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $2.72.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up for the seventh consecutive week, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham.

AAA’s Jan. 17 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.099 per gallon, one cent more than last week.

The current price is even with the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.09.

A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $2.72.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 21 cents, from a low of $2.98 to a high of $3.19.
