Get Your Christmas on Down at the Nursery

Weston Nurseries is decorated and ready for the holiday season.

If you’re looking to escape the frenzy of shopping at the mall this holiday season, and want to visit somewhere relaxing, is just the place for you.

Weston Nurseries already has its indoor decorations displayed, and the outdoor decorations are expected to be arriving any day.

Garden Center Manager Nancy Cassidy has been working for the past month to get the decorations ready.

“I've actually had women who came in and asked me to let them know when I’m going to be setting up so they can come buy the Christmas stuff,” she said.

The Christmas holiday at the nurseries allows residents a place to go where they can relax with the children and still get some of their gift shopping done.

“We have some great decorations, and great gifts for the gardeners as well,” Cassidy said.

Several gift ideas Cassidy mentioned included Gardening Felco pruners for those stubborn bushes, garden benches for people with a decorative garden, and bird houses for all of your winged friends.

During the lead up to Christmas, Weston Nurseries has visits from Santa on two weekends, as well as local theater group Enter Stage Left performing acapella caroling. Weston Nurseries carries both real and artificial (“everlasting” as Cassidy put it) decorations throughout the season and features sales regularly which can be found on its website.
