Halloween Fun for the Kids at Southwick’s Zoo

Mendon, MA- Is your child already excited
for Halloween this year? Why not get a jumpstart on the celebrations, starting
on Saturday, October 19th at Southwick’s Zoo? During “Zoo Boo Days,”
children under the age of 12 will get free admission to the zoo when they show
up in their costume!

Along with offering free admission, the zoo is hosting a
bunch of Halloween-themed activities for Zoo Boo Days from October 19th
to the 27th. There will be trick-or-treating throughout the zoo,
which is a wonderful opportunity for those who cannot trick-or-treat in their
own communities, or for anyone who loves candy!

Guests can also watch various zoo animals receive their own
pumpkins to play with, which has become a fan favorite among the Zoo Boo
activities. The EARTH Discovery Center will be open at specified times so that
guests can learn about Creepy Crawlies, and a stamp game will also be held
throughout these two weeks. As always, Southwick’s incorporates the element of
education into all of their enjoyable events.

“It’s always fun to watch our animals have fun with their
pumpkins since they all interact differently,” says Justine Brewer, President
of Southwick’s Zoo. “Halloween is just another excuse for us to educate the
public and have fun with kids.”
