High School Cancels Dances Due to Dirty Dancing

Hopkinton High School principal sent out a letter to parents on Wednesday announcing all school dances are cancelled.

Students at Hopkinton High School have been getting a little too frisky on the dance floor at school functions.

School Principal Evan Bishop announced Wednesday that all school dances are cancelled due to teens dirty dancing at previous events, CBSLocal reported.

Students told WCVB that there was “maybe a little” bit of inappropriate dance moves taking place at the dances.

Student reactions to the cancellation of school functions have varied.

Some students do not care while others feel that the school has overreacted, according to WCVB.

The principal noted that the prom will still take place and the school is working with parents and students to improve the school dance situation, WCVB reported.
