Holliston 88, Dover-Sherborn 39: Panther Girls Track Finishes With Winning Record
Holliston ended the dual-meet season at 5-4 after finishing off a rain-postponed rout of D-S.

The Holliston girls track team had to wait nearly three weeks to finish the meet, but the Panthers showed no signs of rust as they routed Dover-Sherborn, 88-39, on Saturday.
Holliston finished the regular season at 5-4, having won their last four meets by an average of 45 points.
The meet originally started April 28, but was suspended due to rain with half the events remaining and Holliston leading 47-21. But on Saturday, the Panthers made quick work of the Raiders, who entered the last half of the meet tied with them in the standings. Steph Paolillo won the 100-meter hurdles for the third straight time, leading a 1-2-3 sweep. Caroline Clancy and Diana Waterman followed Paolillo, each setting personal bests.

Clancy led another sweep, clearing 31 feet, one inch in the triple jump with Sydney Strzempko (29-0) and Waterman (28-8) taking second and third.
The 800 meters saw Holliston’s best miler, junior Jill Rosati, showcase her speed with a personal best of 2 minutes, 29 seconds, ranking her in the Tri-Valley League's top 10. Rosati also teamed up with fellow distance runners Anna Mannello, Kaylee Kozubal, and Briana Bergen to win the 4x400-meter relay.

Vickie Palmatier won the discus, with Rachel Sullivan scoring her first varsity point on a throw of 68-0 for third place. Melissa Westland won the javelin for the Panthers.
On Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the Panthers will head to Westwood High for the TVL Championships. Tied for fourth in the regular season, Holliston may be able to avenge some earlier dual meet losses, as the seeds for the meet indicate a tight four-way battle between Medfield, Westwood, Holliston and Norton for places 2 through 5 behind perennial champion Hopkinton.
Palmatier enters as the top seed in the shot put and discus, while Rachel Everett (high jump), Kozubal (800) and Briana Crowley (long jump) are seeded second in their events.
After Thursday, the Panthers will prepare for the Eastern Mass. Division 3 Championship on Friday, May 27 at Oliver Ames High School. Two relays and seven individuals have already qualified for the meet after just one relay and four individuals made it during the indoor season.
