Holliston Dance Arts Center to Hold Auditions
The Holliston Dancing Arts Center will be holding auditions this weekend for their Christmas show.

The Dancing Arts Center will hold its holiday dance concert auditions
on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at its studio on 9 Whitney Street in
Holliston from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
An important information meeting will be held from 2:30 - 3:30 where
interested children and adults can meet the choreographers, the
director, stage manager and wardrobe manager as well as participate in a question and answer session.
The holiday dance performance is the first of four concerts produced
annually by the Dancing Arts Center. The choreographers are
auditioning for ballet, modern, and, or jazz dancers for their
production which features the ballet, The Gift, an original ballet by
Dancing Art Center's ballet master Wayne Stewarte among others.
Any one ages six through adult is eligible to audition for The Gift.
Any non-dancer with stage presence is eligible to be placed in a
walk-on role for the ballet to gain stage experience. Rehearsals
leading up to the performance will be between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. on
Saturdays. The performances are planned for December 17 and 18, 2011.
The Dancing Arts Center, located in Holliston, Massachusetts, provides instruction in classical ballet, modern dance, improvisation, character, jazz, Pointe, and choreography, and offers a variety of other performance-related classes through the year. DAC’s teaching foundation is based on the philosophy that good dance training awakens the senses and stimulates emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. It believes in nurturing each student’s desires, and enhancing their love of dance, through creative expression, exploration, and discovery.
