Holliston-Hopkinton's Weekend Weather: Hot, Sunny...with a Chance of Severe Storms

The weekend looks like another hot one, but there's a chance of some severe thunderstorms that could bring lightning and even hail.

HOLLISTON-HOPKINTON, MA—Surprise! It looks like another hot one this weekend.

Mixed in with the mostly-sunny, mid-90s weather, though are some scattered showers and thunderstorms, breaking up some of the pool and cookout time. Storms on Friday, according to the National Weather Service, could be severe.

In an alert, NWS warns, "There is a potential for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms this evening and tonight. The main risks from any severe thunderstorms would be damaging straight-line wind gusts and hail. Locally, heavy downpours are possible."

Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.

Friday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 91.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.
