Holliston Man Survives Fatal Car Crash in Milford
Forty-five-year-old Holliston resident Andrew Ferland walked away from a Fortune Blvd. accident that left an Upton man dead.
Milford Police confirmed this afternoon that an Upton man was killed in the two-car crash that closed a portion of Fortune Boulevard for most of the morning.
Lt. James Falvey identified the victim as Wesley Rianhard, 26, of 129 South St., Upton. Rianhard was driving his 1998 Toyota Camry south on Fortune Boulevard, toward East Main Street, at 8:50 a.m. Monday when he collided with a 2003 Honda Odyssey driven by Andrew Ferland, 45, of 299 Adams St., Holliston.
The crash occurred near Ira Toyota, 300 Fortune Blvd.

"He [Rianhard] crossed the line while the other vehicle was driving north, heading toward Cedar Street, and the two vehicles collided," Falvey said.
Falvey said Ferland was walking around at the scene, "shook up," and was unsure of any injuries he might have suffered.

Rianhard, meanwhile, was unconscious at the scene and needed to be extricated from his car with the Jaws of Life.
"He was in pretty bad shape," Falvey said. "He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased."
The crash is under investigation by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team, which is generally dispatched by local police agencies for serious crashes, and often when a fatality is involved. CEMLEC responded to the crash at about 10 a.m.
Traffic was blocked on Fortune Boulevard at Quarry Drive and East Main Street for most of the morning.
