Holliston PD Compare Doctors And Nurses To Jedi On May 4th
Police took advantage of the Star Wars holiday to praise health care workers on the front lines.
HOLLISTON, MA — Holliston police took advantage of May the 4th, the Star Wars holiday, to praise health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. The department posted on its Facebook page on Monday that nurses and doctors were like Jedi Knights, fighting to keep us safe during this pandemic.
"If COVID-19 were a Star Wars character, it would undoubtedly be Palpatine — which means our real superheroes, the doctors and nurses, are Jedi Knights, like Rey and Luke Skywalker," the post reads, "Good always overcomes evil, so there is no doubt in our minds that we’ll win this fight together."
Poking some fun at the Star Wars series, the department reminded residents to continue to do their part to slow the spread of the virus, including social distancing and hand washing.
