Holliston Police To Host Narcan Training
Learn how to use the lifesaving overdose prevention drug at an upcoming session this month.

HOLLISTON, MA – The Holliston Police Department will hold a Narcan training session this month. The event will help residents respond to overdoses before emergency crews arrive and learn how to become CPR/AED certified.
According to the American Red Cross, each minute that defibrillation is delayed during cardiac arrest decreases an individual's chances of survival by 10 percent. The average response time for first responders is 8-12 minutes, Holliston police said.
The training session, which will be held Thursday, Dec. 14 from 5:30-9 p.m., will teach family members, friends and neighbors how to recognize signs of an overdose, access medical services and give intra-nasal naloxone.
