Holliston Walk & Club Picnic

SATURDAY,
AUGUST 23 – The Walk 'n Mass Volkssport Club invites walkers to
participate in either a 5 km or 10 km (3.1 or 6.2 mile) walk

in
Holliston, Mass. All walkers are invited to join the Club Picnic
after the event which is sponsored by club members.



The
start point is the Fatima Shrine Picnic Pavilion, 101 Summer Street,
Holliston, Mass. Registration for the 10 km is 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.
and 10:30-11:00 a.m. for the 5 km.


The
5 km route is primarily out and back on the Upper Charles River Rail
Trail. The 10 km route begins on the paved Rosary Walk, enters
Wenakeening Woods exploring several natural trails, and connects to
the rail trail with a short visit to downtown.

The
walk routes are on groomed stone-dust trails as well as some paved
surfaces, suitable for strollers but not for wheelchairs. Leashed
pets are welcome and clean-up laws apply.



The
walk is sponsored by the Walk 'n Mass Volkssport Club. Volkssporting
events promote fun, fitness and friendship by providing
non-competitive walking and other sporting events free to the public.
