Hopkinton Arts Bloom Inside at Garden Club Show

Today is the perfect day to see Arts in Bloom a show of artwork and flower arrangements by the Hopkinton Garden Club from 2 to 4. (The Garden Club site is also a great place for growing tips and a calendar of upcoming club events.) 

Many of the accompanying photos here - taken the weekend beefore Mother's Day - are details of larger artworks. There are far more works at the show too and the interplay between paintings and plants adds so much.

Make sure you stop by to check out the expanded gallery space - in what used to be the kitchen - and the freshly painted walls that make the pictures and plant arrangements pop. There's also great conversation always available at the CAA.

Check the The Cultural Arts Alliance  website for hours the show is open this rainy week and next weekend. 

And mark your calendar for the Student Art Show coming June 9 to 19, 2011, at the CAA. The Opening Reception will be June 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the CAA Gallery The show will continue weekdays from  2 to 5 and  weekends from 2 to 4 p.m.
