Hopkinton High Drama Ensemble Plans 4 Fundraisers

Drama, comedy, a middle-school scavenger hunt and a rock concert are the final events planned to help defray the troupe's trip to the Fringe Festival in Scotland.

A year ago, the Hopkinton High School Drama Ensemble set out to raise $30,000 to defray the cost of its August 2011 trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

With a month left before final payments are due, they are close to their goal and have four exciting events planned.

Empty Page, Empty Stage: Thursday, May 19, 7:30 p.m. in the Hopkinton High School Auditorium, the ensemble will perform its original play, Empty Page, Empty Stage written by Hopkinton High School drama teacher and ensemble Artistic Director Valerie von Rosenvinge in collaboration with the drama students. A $25 donation includes  the premiere of the play and  a reception with the drama students.
