Hopkinton Man Killed in 3-Car Crash in Framingham
A three-car crash near the Ashland line on Sunday evening resulted in the death of one driver, and sent the other two to the hospital

HOPKINTON, MA — A three-car crash on Sunday night in Framingham has left one Hopkinton man dead.
Nicholas Lashaway, 28, was pronounced dead at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, reports MetroWest Daily News. Two other drivers from Framingham were injured. One was taken to MetroWest Medical Center in Natick and another to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. NECN reports that those two drivers suffered non life-threatening injuries.
Ted Piers, a retired Framingham police officer, and his two sons, came upon the accident and pulled Lashaway and pulled him from his burning Jeep and gave him CPR. Two nurses who lived nearby also came to the scene.

The crash, which happened around 6:30 p.m. on Badger Road near the Ashland line, required a lifeflight, and mutual aid, according to online scanner reports. A lifeflight was requested and mutual aid ambulance from Ashland.
Initial updates had indicated that one involved in the crash required CPR, and was transported to the hospital with "traumatic arrest."

Police told NECN they do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, but it is still under investigation.
