Hopkinton Police Answered Over 1,200 Calls In January

The majority of the calls were motor vehicle stops.

HOPKINTON, MA — Hopkinton police officers had a busy month, answering over 1,200 calls in January. The department released a breakdown of the number of calls it received and the types of calls that came in.

The majority of the calls, 308, were for motor vehicle stops, according to the department. Over the course of the month there were 30 car crashes reported and 90 citations given out.

The department's activities include K9 Titan who went on three deployments. During one of the incidents, Titan helped Marlborough police track down a robbery suspect.

There were 14 arrests in January. Nine of the 14 were warrant arrests, two were operating under the influence arrests and one was an driving with a suspended license. Other arrests include hit and run and driving without a license.

There are four active investigations going on at the department.
